Sam Bartholomew Provides Leadership and Expertise in the Law

    NASHVILLE, TN, January 25, 2012 /Finance PR News/ -- Sam W. Bartholomew is Tennessee Chairman Emeritus for the law firm of Adams and Reese LLP, and has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in law.

At the very top of his field, Sam W. Bartholomew has four decades of experience in the practice of law and is active in many civic and Christian programs. He made his reputation in corporate law, specifically in his work with finance, banking, government relations, and airports. Mr. Bartholomew is active in the legal transactions practice, and he also serves as director on numerous boards for public and private corporations. Currently, he serves on the Regions Financial Holding Company Board (Regions Bank) and has served as adjunct professor at Vanderbilt Law School and Business School. He was Campaign Director and Staff Manager for U.S. Senator Howard Baker, and worked directly as Tennessee Campaign Chairman for Ronald Reagan. He also has been the Nashville International Airport attorney for 39 years and chaired the legal committee of the Airport Council International.

Attributing his success to the experience he gained through the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Vietnam War, and Vanderbilt Law School, Mr. Bartholomew feels that his time spent serving on boards and as a director of public and private corporations is where his best service lies. In the future, he plans to remain actively engaged in his current capacities, and hopes to utilize his leadership skills as a director for public companies and Christian causes.

Recently, he has served several organizations in a voluntary capacity. He served as Chairman of Saint Thomas Hospital, and the Tennessee West Point Society, as well as the Director of the 101st Airborne Wings of Liberty Museum. Formerly, Mr. Bartholomew was Chairman of the local chapter of Rotary International, and the Nashville Salvation Army. His many honors include being inducted into the Order of the Coif upon his graduation from Vanderbilt Law School and receiving Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers awards for the past 20 years. In addition, Mr. Bartholomew has been recognized by the Governor of Tennessee with the Outstanding Tennessean Award, and by the American Diabetes Association with a Father of the Year Award. Furthermore, he was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, and has chaired the Hall of Fame Board. He has also received numerous decorations and medals for his military service in Germany, Panama, and Vietnam. He serves as an Advisory Board member to the National Museum of the United States Army and the 101st Wings of Liberty, and served as the Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program, Tennessee. In 1994, he was the Tennessee Chairman of the United States Olympic Committee. He was Co-Chairman of the 2000 Billy Graham Crusade in Nashville, Tennessee, and continues serving on the Board of Operation Andrew and United 4 Hope.

Mr. Bartholomew earned a JD from Vanderbilt Law School in 1973 and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1966 where he served as a cadet captain and a football captain. He was admitted and qualified to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, and is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is a family man with four children and eleven grandchildren under ten years old. He says with a smile that his motto is Faith, Family, and Football.
